Hi and welcome to M3FON's  SSTV & Radio Information Web page ......

My name is Darrian M3FON and i live in Ripley Derbyshire (IO93HA) i have been interested in Radio for many years but have only been a licensed radio ham since May 2002 and I'm also a member of the South Normanton & District Amateur Radio Club which meets every Monday Night @ 7.00pm at the club shack.

My main interests in the hobby are Slow Scan Television or SSTV for short which is when you transmit a picture via Radio waves and IRLP & Echo link systems which is Radio via the internet but i do play proper Radio occasionally on the HF 40 & 20 meter bands. My Radio is a Kenwood TS870 and a Shure SM58 Studio Microphone with a triband colinear for vhf/uhf a triband 2 element Mosley beam and full size g5rv for the hf bands all mounted around 10mtrs from the ground all powered by 10 Watts of M3 Power. also a homebrew sstv interface and Chromapix SSTV decoding software.

Near to where I live there are two Slow Scan Repeaters on 144.550Mhz One is run by Dave G7DGF from 9.00am-9.00pm Saturday & Sunday and the other by Ian M0IAP from 18.00pm-21.00pm Monday to Friday both can be accessed via a 1750Hz tone and both are sited on high ground at separate sites in South Normanton, Nottinghamshire near jct 28 of the M1.So if you are in the area please put in a picture & either myself or one of the local lads will gladly reply to you but if your not in the area & would like to see what is being transmitted on the Repeater ? then why not try out-
